Lilly Hill As a Brit I measure car journeys in miles, but jogging in km, milk and beer in pints but oj in litres. I lift weights and buy rice in kg and buy meat in lb. I buy fabric in meters but measure myself in inches. Horses jump over jumps measured in feet, the horse is measured in hands and stables are measured in meters.
